This intensive 2-week training opportunity is designed for executives who want to make a positive impact in their business, their organisations, their careers, and their personal advancement. This training workshop will comprise an intensive ten modules that covers essential advanced skills for executives and senior managers. The course is designed to model the 21st executive practices in an experiential way and to foster leadership and management development. This high level workshop is designed for organisational leaders, professional practitioners, executives and senior managers responsible for improving organisational performance and communication across functional boundaries.

Workshop Format

The format of this intensive skills-training workshop is uniquely powerful at eliciting concrete and long-lasting changes in attitudes and behaviour. The workshop provides demonstrations and frequent coached practice exercises and group processes so that participants can internalise new patterns of interaction with team members and, by extension, with management colleagues and other significant parties such as customers and clients.

Workshop Outline

The workshop is structured in a two 5-day format, each day comprising one module

 

WEEK 1

Module 1: Leadership Skills

Leadership is a complex process by which a person influences others to accomplish a mission, task, or objective and directs the organization in a way that makes it more cohesive and coherent. This module provides you with the knowledge and tools you need to create an environment that brings out the best in people, improving workers' attitude, morale and on-the-job performance. The module is designed to help leaders identify the most effective ways to transform their organizations. It focuses on helping leaders understand the leader’s role in their organisation; understand the relationship between managerial style, competencies, managerial requirements and change.

Module 2: Strategic Planning

Today, more than ever, organisations must capitalise on a changing business environment, improve effectiveness and overall productivity, formulate and implement a planning process, and make better strategic decisions. The Strategic Planning training module will provide you with the skills you need to create and develop an effective strategic plan that gives specific direction and yet is flexible enough to change and modify. The module is designed to ensure every member of the company not only understands their role in implementation but that they understand and are involved in both the development and execution of the planning process.

Module 3: Leading through Emotional Management

The Module aims to assist Participants communicate effectively on an Internal & External Level in the Workplace. The module will facilitates participants with techniques to think, act, talk, react and feel differently enabling them to positively influence the emotions of others and themselves. Experts all over the Globe acknowledge that Emotional Intelligence within organisations is perhaps the most crucial determinant of success in the workplace. This module will give attendees an opportunity to broaden their understanding of Emotional Intelligence and invest the techniques smartly in the Workplace. 

Module 4: Positive Emotional Communications

Experts all over the Globe acknowledge that Positive Emotional Communications within organisations is perhaps the most crucial determinant of success in the workplace. However, it is unfortunate that many organisations give insignificant value to creating Positive Emotional Relationships in their organisations. This module will give attendees an opportunity to broaden their understanding of Emotional Communications and invest the techniques intelligently in the Workplace. Upon completion of this module, participants will gain an understanding of the importance of Managing and Developing Emotional Capital within their organisations. They will also recognise the consequences of unconstructive and depressing Emotional Signals and Dialogue among co-workers.

Module 5: Communication Skills

Interpersonal communication is the process of interacting with people to maximize the presence of the personal. It is a personal quality of contact that goes beyond a social exchange and includes active listening, the validation of nonverbal cues, and the recognition of the uniqueness of the other person. Communicating effectively means understanding the dynamics of the interpersonal exchange and being actively involved in the co-creation of shared meaning between two or more people in the work place. This interactive module is specifically designed to empower people with the knowledge and skills needed to maximise the human qualities in the communication model. Participants will learn how to relate to recognise and maximise the value of the human personhood by understanding the importance of nonverbal and verbal communication messages and behaviours that can be applied to business settings.

 

WEEK 2

Module 6: Effective Decision Making

Decision Making is a ‘life skill’ used constantly by everyone... but most people cannot describe the process they use to solve everyday problems! In this workshop we discuss a variety of problem solving techniques, present a few exercises, which demonstrate the need to stand back and resist “leaping in”, and put in place a structured approach as an aid to finding effective solutions for all types of problem. Harness the power of decision making in your organisation! Learn the latest models and techniques of decision-making. This module is designed for you to learn how to solve problems and make decisions currently facing your organisation. The module starts with the basics of decision-making, and proceeds to cover advanced techniques, real-world case studies, model building and more.

Module 7: Positive Behaviour Management

Many employees are faced with emotional and mental barriers when problems erupt or when they join the company due to their lack of understanding of the environment and work culture. Thus many of them behave in inappropriate manners, cause trouble in their workplace, fail to develop an appropriate work ethic and become frustrated and leave the Company and have to be replaced. By the end of this module attendees will develop an ability to assess their own level of personal competency, recognise where they need to improve the skill of communicating with and persuading other people and the ability to deal smartly with problems.

Module 8: Performance Management

Performance management is a collaborative process of supporting employee performance success while accomplishing the strategic objectives of the organization. With the goals of the organisation as the reference point, the performance manager and employee together identify desired results, establish written performance expectations, discuss performance outcomes, appraise employee performance and identify learning and development opportunities. This module provides you the (know-how) for managing employee performance with the aim of enhancing and recognizing performance, increasing employee and departmental productivity and encouraging job satisfaction.

Module 9: Conflict Management

Unresolved conflict or poorly handled conflict destroy good relationships quickly and can turn a wonderful workplace into a hostile one in a matter of days and weeks. Unmanaged employee conflict is fast becoming the largest, reducible cost in organisations today. Training in conflict resolution enables you to deal with problems early before the situation has become chronic. This module is a highly interactive workshop with opportunities for participants to discuss the new information and how to integrate the knowledge into their workplace.

Module 10: Negotiation Skills

Negotiation is an essential professional skill that can be learned and improved. This module integrates the latest and most effective negotiation theories and practices to create a unique environment where participants attain valuable and universal skills that are applicable to all types of negotiation settings. The module is designed for executives, managers, and other professionals for whom negotiation skills are essential to success. Through lecture, participation in simulations, and discussion, participants learn successful strategies for negotiating with prospective and current customers, vendors, competing businesses, as well as with their associates and colleagues. The module offers a systematic approach to mastering the fundamentals of making favourable agreements that minimize conflict and maximize results.

Dr Mohammed Tikrity

Dr. Tikrity is a senior consultant and trainer. His background was originally in science and engineering. In the last 20 years Dr. Tikrity worked in the field of management. This many years of experience include R&D Management, Management Development, Strategic Analysis and Decision Techniques for which he completed two years at the Manchester Business School (MBS). He is certified practitioner in Spiral Dynamics (SDI and II), Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI), SYMLOG, and DiSC® Personal Profile system®. Dr Tikrity is a Certified Master Practitioner and internationally recognised Master Trainer of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Black Belt Six Sigma. Dr Tikrity is a member of the Institute of Management Information Systems (MIMIS), the British Computer Society (BCS), the British Association for Neuro - Linguistic Programming (ANLP), the Institute of Leadership and Management (iLM), and the Global Facilitators Network (GlobalFN). He has published several books on various topics including NLP.

Dr Maytham Al-Salman

Dr Maytham Al-Salman is a well reputed trainer who has successfully trained hundreds within the Middle East. His area of expertise is behavioural skills with emphasis on Emotional Intelligence and Competency Based Development. He holds a master in Emotional Management and is currently in the final stage of presenting his dissertation for a PhD in the same subject at UOL in England.  He is a Master Trainer in Neuro Linguistic Programming.  He has been a quest speaker at 2 Arabic satellite channels in the Subject of Emotional Intelligence and has presented several papers in regional and international conferences in the same subject. Maytham has successfully trained hundreds throughout the Middle East region. He has developed an excellent image throughout the Gulf and received exceptional feedback. Among his corporate clientele are: ARAMCO, BAPCO, QGPC, GASCO, NPCC, SHELL, The Ministry of Education – UAE, ADNOC, Crown Prince Court-Bahrain, Abu Dhabi National Bank, Bourouge, Al-Rajhi Group, SABIC, QATARGAS, & more.

Dr Henrie Lidiard

Henrie is a leading trainer and consultant and delivers a full range of personal and professional effectiveness training by the innovative application of NLP and Spiral Dynamics. Henrie has extensive experience in the Banking and Higher Education sectors and across the Small Medium Sized Business Sectors. Since 1998 she has trained as a certified Spiral Dynamics Consultant

Robert Smith  

Robert is an experienced management and personnel consultant with a particular interest in human communication. He is at the forefront of behavioural modelling and with his enthusiastic, motivational yet forthright style, has a flair for developing others to achieve the highest levels of communication skills. Robert has a Diploma in Management Studies and a Masters in Business Administration, and was the first person in Europe to qualify for the Register of NLP Business Communications Trainers. His considerable business expertise has enabled him to teach, coach and mentor extensively in the UK, USA, Europe, and the Far East. He is also an Advanced Master Practitioner and INLPTA Certified Master Trainer of NLP. Chris specialism in Change Management is highly valued by clients across a wide range of Public, Private, Profit and Voluntary Sectors. He has become widely recognised for his interest and ability in large-scale organisational and societal change.

Dr Suzi Strang

Having enjoyed a career in Family Medicine and Occupational Health, Dr Susi Strang Wood now integrates her diagnostic skills with her extensive training in the applied psychology of performance excellence. She utilises her experience and expertise to pursue her interests in the development of people and organisations. Her portfolio includes leading courses in leadership profiling, management training, appraisal systems, facilitation skills and personal development. Experienced in executive coaching, recruitment and the management of change in large organisations, Susi’s raison d’être is to enable success in others. Internationally trained by key developers and pioneers of NLP, Susi has been applying NLP in business training and psychotherapy for the last ten years. She has published papers in the application of NLP in the context of Health and Well Being. UKCP registered as a Neuro-Linguistic Psychotherapist, Susi chairs the Accreditation Panel for Registration as a Psychotherapist in the field of NLP. Certified as a Master Trainer of NLP by INLPTA, Susi’s presentation style is personal, lively and thought provoking.
