Bernard Kunerth

Mr. Kunerth holds degrees in Psychology and Business Administration from the University of Bordeaux. He has over 24 years experience in diverse areas of Human Resource Management, throughout Europe, Latin America and the United States.

In 1996 he joined the Coca-Cola Company and was appointed Director of Human Resources – Northwest Europe Division. He then moved within the Coca-Cola system and became the Group Vice President, Human Resources Europe for Coca-Cola Enterprises in 1997, based in London.  In 2001, he moved to Atlanta and assumed the position of Vice President, Human Resources Processes. Mr. Kunerth joined Coca-Cola Hellenic in May 2004, as the Chief Human Resources Officer.

Peter Bedford works for Nokia Siemens Networks, a company that went live in April 2007 (€17bn turnover,  60,000 people, around 100 countries).  He joined Nokia Corporation in October 2004, heading up global resourcing and employment, and was accountable for workforce planning, recruitment, employer branding and employment issues, from policy through to implementation, across the 66,000 strong, 60 country Nokia world. For the 8 months to April 2007, he was a key player in the HR integration activities as Nokia and Siemens merged their respective networks businesses to create Nokia Siemens Networks.   He is now concurrently the head of resourcing and employment and a business HR in NSN’s most complex region in Europe.

 Peter was previously Head of Recruitment at the BBC, where he created  the organisation’s first in-house recruitment consultancy, structured to deliver added value and cost efficiency to the hiring of over 10,000 external and internal candidates each year, spanning the range from runners to executive committee directors.

 An electronic engineer by background, his earlier career included over 15 years building and managing executive recruitment businesses with PA Consulting Group, Norman Broadbent and Boyden.  He is, unusually, both a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.

Bob Hughes

He has served on committees for the International Coach Federation, and has advised many organisations on how to implement coaching programmes.

Jane Sparrow

Head of Employee Engagement & Communication - Sony Europe

Jane has been responsible for Internal Communication & Change within Sony Europe since 2001. From the outset she has worked closely with people of all levels within the business to build communication strategy, implement behavioural change programmes, increase understanding about the value of communication and culture within a changing business environment.  She travels extensively across Europe, working with local teams to plan and deliver internal and external communication. 

Prior to her current role, Jane was a senior management consultant for MCA Communicates, where she assisted board-level clients with marketing and communication challenges. She has also held marketing and communication management roles with IBM and is an advisor to many small businesses.  She is past Programme Chair for the IABC International Conference in 2006 and 7 and a co-author of the IABC Handbook of Organisational Communication.  She is a member of the Editorial Board of The Business Communicator publication.

Dr Gamal El-Din Khazindar

Dr. Gamal has over 20 years experience in Training and Development in the Middle East, Korea, and Japan with particular specialization in the fields of Strategic Management, Human Resources and Organizational Behaviour. Whilst a Professor of Management in Korea and Japan he made major contributions to the QCC functions of several corporations and assisted thousands of employees to leverage and sharpen their management competencies through value added  training and coaching sessions.

He is the author of several books and papers on management and is a Certified consultant and professional from the Royal Society of Arts and the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry in UK. Hay Group in USA, Australian Human Resource Institute in Australia.

At present he is the Senior Training Manager of the Dubai Institute for Human Resource Development in Dubai, UAE  where he not only runs a major department but also personally delivers a variety of managerial courses to staff of the major organizations.

Geoff Cripps

VP for HR - AUJAN Industries

Geoff Cripps joined Aujan Industries in April 2006 and has overall Human Resources responsibility for the company. He has extensive experience spanning thirty years at senior level in the Construction, Consulting, Oil and Gas, IT& T and Manufacturing industries. Geoff has worked with major tier one companies such as British Telecommunications in the Asia Pacific region in a Regional Human Resources capacity, Memorex Telex in similar capacities and country management positions. Geoff is familiar with cultural diversity having worked in countries as diverse as New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tanzania, South Africa, UK, France, Kuwait, Jordan, Iran, Saudi Arabia and UAE. Prior to joining Aujan Industries, Geoff was employed by IBM Business Consulting Services in the UAE as a Project Manager and Subject Matter Expert. He worked restructuring major Gulf companies in the oil, gas and telecommunications sectors. 

Dr Mohammed  Tikrity

Dr. Tikrity is a senior consultant, author and trainer. He got his PhD from university of Manchester in Control Systems Engineering. In the last 20 years he worked in the field of management. This experience include R&D Management, Management Development, Strategic Analysis and Decision Techniques for which he completed two years at the Manchester Business School (MBS).

Dr Tikrity is a registered Master Trainer in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). He is accredited and certified in Spiral Dynamics (SDI and SDII), Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI), DiSC Personal Profile system (PPS), Systematic Multi Level Observation of Groups (SYMLOG), and Six Sigma Black Belt. He is a member of the Institute of Management Information Systems (MIMIS), the British Computer Society (BCS), the British Association for Neuro - Linguistic Programming (ANLP), the Institute of Leadership and Management (iLM), and the Global Facilitators Network (GlobalFN). He has published six books and many articles on various topics .

Mohammed Naji Alhammadi 

GASCO’s Ex Competence Assurance Coordinator

Mohammed, a UAE National who had been with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and GASCO for 32 years, has a rich and diversified experience profile covering the fields of Operations, Technical Training and Competence Based Training Management in the Oil and Gas industry. His total work experience of more than 40 years includes Operations Management in Petroleum Refineries, Gas Plants and Transmission Pipelines while working for BP, KNPC, ADNOC and GASCO in Aden, Kuwait and Abu Dhabi. Mohammed was instrumental in the introduction, implementation and spread of the concept of Total Quality Management-TQM in ADNOC Habshan Gas Complex between the years 1990 and 2000.

In 2001, he presented a technical paper in the "First Oil & Gas Pipelines in The Middle East Conference" titled "The Effective Management of a Gas Transmission Pipeline Network". His last assignment with GASCO was "Competence Assurance Coordinator (CAC)" which also involved the training of competency assurance assessors. Although retired from GASCO in November 2005 his services are still being sought by GASCO in certain areas especially for managing the orientation , induction and training of the new recruits. Mohammed is a Certified Corporate Trainer, Neuro Linguistic Programming- NLP Trainer, a public speaker and lecturer on Self- Development topics.

Dr Nader Nada 

Director  - Egyptian Center  for Human Development

Dr. Nader Nada is the founder and Chairman of Buzan Egypt Center and the Egyptian Center for Human Development. Over the last 7 years he has trained and consulted to a wide variety of organizations in Egypt and the Gulf states.  

Dr. Nada is a Buzanwolrd Trainer in Advanced Learning and Creative Thinking Techniques, including Mind Mapping, Speed Reading, Memory Skills, and Presentation and Communication skills. He is also Accredited Corporate Trainer from the CCHD in Canada.  

Dr. Nader Nada received his PhD degree from George Mason University, VA, and his MS degree from Minnesota State University, MN. In 1991 he received the Achievement Award from the American Achievement Academy. He was NASA Fellow for three successive years. His research areas include: Thinking, Learning, and Creativity and Innovation, and Human Intelligence Development. Dr. Nada published three books and over fifty journal and conference papers in the areas of his interest. He is speaker of several international conferences. In 2006 he assigned as a consultant for the minister of education in Egypt. 

Danny Kalman
HR Director - Panasonic Europe

Danny Kalman is HR Director of Panasonic Europe and is based at the European HQ in Bracknell.  He has been working for Panasonic for nearly 15 years.

 Panasonic has approximately 12,000 employees in Europe in 12 countries. There are 16 Sales companies, 13 Manufacturing companies, 3 R&D and 6 Support companies. Danny’s main responsibility is establishing the Pan-European strategy for HR and work closely with the Global HQ functions in Japan. His other main focus is on identifying and developing future leaders for Panasonic in Europe, succession planning activities and promoting the role of HR and its impact on the business. He is also responsible for promoting CSR activities in Europe often liaising with the CSR team in Japan.

Tony McCarthy

Director - People - British Airways

Tony McCarthy, Director – People, British Airways joined the airline in December 2007 from Royal Mail, one of the UK’s biggest employers and where, as Group Director, People & Organisational Development, he was a key member of the senior management team leading the company’s successful turnaround.

Prior to joining the Royal Mail, Tony spent almost 25 years with BAE Systems and held a range of top level HR roles, including the post of Group HR Director.

Tony has a track record built on success and experience. He is chair of the Centre for Performance Led HR, a group of HR academics and top practitioners, and recently became vice president of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Kim Pettigrew BA Hons, MBA.

Kim Pettigrew is currently Head of Resourcing, Systems and Services at British Airways. She has responsibility across BA (42000 people world-wide) for recruitment, manpower planning and control, people systems, a shared service centre which includes payroll, the diversity portfolio and for a People Manager Advice team that provides day to day advice to line managers. She sits on the People Leadership Team within BA. Kim joined BA 19 years ago and has held a number of other senior line manager roles in BA all of which have involved managing large change programmes, and she has sat on the Customer Service Leadership team and the Information Management Leadership team. Prior to joining BA Kim worked in the NHS and also for Coca-Cola. Current challenges at BA include restructuring the HR department, reducing manpower cost in an environment of growth and attracting, developing and retaining world-class talent.

Omar Najjar

Omar Najjar holds a masters degree in Industrial Engineering and is currently the Talent Director for Unilever in Africa, Middle East and Turkey based in Durban, South Africa. 

Omar has joined Unilever early 2001 with 8 years of rich management experience in both Oil & Gas and Airline industries. During the past 7 years with Unilever, he has build international exposure blended with a great local knowledge on different HR related fields including Recruitment, Graduate attraction and selection, Leadership Development, Training and Performance Management.

On his current position, Omar is responsible for more than 35 thousands jobs across a region with some high growth markets including South Africa, Arabia and Turkey.

Simond Bladford

Simon is a Principal Consultant at Mercer. After an initial career in HR Management with Ford of Europe, Simon has gained over 20 years international management consulting experience including: designing and leading projects in Business and HR Transformation; Talent Management; Leadership and Management Development; Organisation Design and Development; Change Management; Performance Management; People Process Re-Engineering; People Strategy and Human Capital Solutions; for major Government institutions and Fortune 500 Companies. Simon holds a Bsc in Occupational Psychology from the University of Wales.
